College of Education

About the College The College of Education at Gilgamesh University was established in the academic year 2025–2026 as a fundamental pillar in the higher education system. It is dedicated to preparing academically and pedagogically qualified teachers capable of advancing the educational process and contributing to building a knowledgeable and culturally aware society. The college includes two main departments: the Department of Arabic Language and the Department of English Language. Through these departments, the college seeks to prepare specialized teachers with advanced pedagogical and linguistic skills within a stimulating educational environment supported by modern curricula and advanced training programs aligned with global educational trends. The college aims to graduate qualified educational cadres equipped with strong scientific knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary for effective teaching, while enhancing their research abilities, critical thinking, and professional ethics. The duration of study is four years, after which graduates are awarded a Bachelor's degree in Education according to their specialization, qualifying them to work in teaching, as well as in other fields such as translation, authorship, curriculum development, linguistic editing, and educational research.
